In the healthcare field, you’ll see patients in all stages of health. The good news is that your clients are taking steps toward improving their lives. The challenge is, while they are receiving services, they are in your trust. What happens if they have a medical emergency while in your care?
This American Heart Association course is intended for healthcare providers taking Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR for the first time, or for those whose certification has expired. Current CPR certification is required for all people who work in healthcare, and also to be eligible for accepting work in your new career.
The curriculum is designed to provide healthcare providers with ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Topics include:
Adult, child and infant CPR
Use of the AED
Barrier devices, and
Bag Valve Masks (BVM)
All subjects are thoroughly covered using hands-on practice with friendly, professional and experienced instructors .
Upon Successful Completion You Will Receive AHA BLS Certification (valid for two (2) years).
Course Length: approximately 4.5 hours
Course Cost: $88.
American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
