Is funding available?

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Pell Grants, scholarships, and loans available to those who qualify.

If you are a San Francisco resident, you may qualify for our free medical assisting with phlebotomy training in partnership with UCSF.

Is the program in-person or hybrid?

We currently run a hybrid medical assisting with phlebotomy program with four days training online and one day on campus for labs.

How do I enroll into the program?

Prospective students must first meet with Admissions and then our financial aid staff. You may book a virtual call with an admissions advisor here.

When are the classes?

Morning, day, and evening medical assisting with phlebotomy classes start every month at both our San Francisco and San Jose campuses. View our class calendar.

How long is the program?

The medical assisting with phlebotomy program includes 29 weeks of instruction plus a 200–240-hour clinical externship offering on-the-job experience at a hospital or lab.

What are the admission requirements?

Admissions requirements for the medical assisting with phlebotomy program are:

  • Graduation from high school or higher-level academy (GED, adult school, junior college)
  • Complete and up to date COVID-19 vaccination with an updated dose
  • Education transcripts / Foreign graduates need to complete evaluation
  • Completion of BAMA placement test
