Bay Area Medical Academy’s Office of Belonging & Inclusion believes student success begins with having basic needs met. Access to nutritious food can play an important role in a student’s overall well-being, ability to focus, and success in the classroom.
To help support our students, BAMA and OBI has launched an on-campus food pantry in partnership with the San Francisco–Marin Food Bank. The pantry provides an additional food resource for students who may be experiencing food insecurity or simply need extra support during a challenging time.
Creating a supportive learning environment means looking beyond the classroom. As a healthcare training school, OBI is committed to supporting students throughout their educational journey and recognizing the many responsibilities and challenges that can come with pursuing a career in healthcare.
The food pantry is one way OBI is strengthening that support. It reflects BAMA’s commitment to listening to student needs, connecting students with community resources, and fostering a campus community where asking for support is met with understanding and care.
At BAMA, student well-being matters. Student success matters. And building a caring, supportive community matters.
