Bay Area Medical Academy Career Services and Office of Belonging & Inclusion teams attended the Mega Job Fair at The San Francisco Mint, hosted by the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development in partnership with its network of job centers and community partners.
The event provided an opportunity for BAMA to connect with community members exploring new career paths, seeking employment opportunities, and looking to build a brighter future. The team shared information about BAMA’s programs and the resources available to help individuals take the next step for a healthcare career.
Reflecting on the experience, BAMA staff shared:
“We participated in the job fair to be a resource for those who are looking to make a change in their life. Many of the attendees at this event were our target clientele: low-income, young people thinking about their futures, and those who are looking to change careers. It was great being able to talk to people in the community about who we are and the programs we offer.”
The event also offered a chance to strengthen community partnerships, meet local leadership, and reconnect with BAMA graduates as they explored employment opportunities.
“We had the opportunity to shake hands with the mayor and our partners. We even had the chance to meet some of our graduates who took advantage of this opportunity to connect with employers.”
BAMA is proud to participate in community events that connect people with educational resources, career training, and employment opportunities. Through our Career Services and Office of Belonging & Inclusion teams, we continue to support individuals as they work toward their professional goals and build pathways to meaningful careers working in healthcare.
