On a day filled with pride, joy, and celebration, we gathered at Robertson Auditorium at UCSF to honor the graduating class of our 2025–2026 medical assisting with phlebotomy and EKG Program.
Graduation was a special opportunity to celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and accomplishments of our students as they completed their training and took an important step toward careers in healthcare.
The ceremony began with the processional of graduates, led by Mistress of Ceremony Andrea Earby, BAMA Medical Assisting Program Director. Guests were then welcomed with an opening performance by the Co-llab Choir, setting a joyful tone for the celebration. The celebration was made even more special with a wonderful dance performance from the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno, bringing energy, culture, and excitement to the ceremony.
We were honored to hear words of welcome from Simonida Cvejic, BAMA Director & CEO, and Michael Jones, MSC, Director of Workforce Pathways at UCSF. We also recognized the staff and faculty whose guidance and support helped our graduates along their journey.
One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was hearing from our graduate speakers: Aanaz Harrison from UCSF Cohort 6, Francine Gaurano from UCSF Cohort 7, and Alysia Greenwood and Ila Guo from our medical assisting program at the San Jose Campus. Their words reflected the hard work, growth, and experiences that made their educational journeys unique.
The highlight of the day was the presentation of our graduates, as students walked across the stage surrounded by their instructors, staff, family, and friends. Each graduate represents the knowledge, skills, and compassion needed to make a meaningful difference in the healthcare field.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Andrea Earby and the traditional cap toss, a joyful moment marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
To our 2025–2026 medical assistant graduates: Congratulations! We are incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in the lives of your future patients and communities.
