The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that Employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 18 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 million new jobs.

Two of the most in-demand healthcare occupations are Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that Medical Assistant employment is projected to grow 29 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations.

The reasons for this are:

  • A growing and aging baby-boom population needing the preventive medical services provided by Medical Assistants.

While Pharmacy Technicians employment is projected to grow 12 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations.

The reasons for this are:

  • An increased demand for prescription medications leading to more demand for pharmaceutical services provided by Pharmacy Technicians.

If you want to get the skills to work as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician, how about learning how you could possibly get funding for that training.
