If you’re an eligible South Bay area resident (San Jose and surrounding areas), you may qualify for low-to-no-cost tuition, making it easier than ever to receive quality healthcare training without the burden of high educational costs.

This hands-on, hybrid class prepares students for entry-level careers in physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, and other healthcare settings. You’ll gain practical skills and real-world experience in:

  • Medical Assisting
  • Phlebotomy (blood collection)
  • EKG procedures
  • Patient care and clinical skills
  • Infection control and workplace safety
  • Professional communication and career readiness

Healthcare employers continue to seek trained medical assistants who can provide compassionate patient care and support busy clinical teams. Who Can Apply?

You may qualify if you:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Meet Bay Area Medical Academy admissions requirements
  • Have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination or qualify for an approved exemption discussed during the admissions process

Please note: Although the program is provided at no cost to eligible participants, completion of the FAFSA is required.
