The medical assisting training program at Bay Area Medical Academy, or BAMA as we call it, is a popular program with our students.

The program is designed to provide the entry-level student with a solid foundation in clinical and administrative duties to begin a medical assisting career.

If you’re considering enrolling in a medical assistant training school, here’s some helpful advice from BAMA Students of the Month on how you can succeed in the classroom with your healthcare training.

When asked what classroom advice they had for people considering training to be medical assistant, BAMA Students of the Month gave this advice:

1. Don’t be afraid to ask questions in class.
2. Some times are going to be harder than others, just know you can do it.
3. Be open to constructive feedback.
4. Listen to your teacher and support your classmates.
5. Contribute to the team environment in the classroom.
6. Set yourself goals and challenges.
7. Know when to take a time out for yourself.
8. Listen to your instructor – they’re the guide to your success.
9. Take full advantage of the education you’re getting.
10. Be open-minded to the opportunities around you.
11. Join in with classroom discussion.
12. And last but not least… study hard!
