Career Services

BAMA is committed to your success for your entire career, not just right after graduation

Career Services Provides a Wide Array of Resources to Students and Graduates Looking for Healthcare Jobs

At Bay Area Medical Academy, we place you, the student, at the center where our instructors, talent coaches, counselors and employers become your partners on the path to successful entry into the healthcare workforce. Starting even before graduation, we work closely with you to create a Career Path and support you as you approach each milestone.

Involved in the Industry

BAMA maintains long-term relationships with leading San Francisco Bay Area healthcare employers. Although employment is not guaranteed, career service support is offered to students and graduates. Local healthcare employers have come to trust that everyone at BAMA is committed to finding the best partnerships between its students and businesses.

Employer On Campus Events

Employers regularly visit BAMA to meet and interview graduates and current students as well as to offer information about jobs at their medical facilities. Employer Events allow employers to meet one-on-one with qualified candidates who are pre-screened according to criteria provided by the employer. These informal presentations enable BAMA graduates and students to speak directly with employers about the scope and demands of jobs, as well as relevant skills and attributes.

Your Future is Important from Day One

We start working on your career goal the moment you join the Academy. Our Career Services Advisors will meet with you to review your previous educational and work background, and discuss any potential obstacles. Together, we will identify your short and long term career goals and prepare a plan of action.

Although employment is not guaranteed, we prepare you for the job search process by giving you the tools and strategies to conduct these searches successfully.

Ongoing Career Services

Any student in good standing is always welcome to contact Career Services for help in finding healthcare jobs at any time, no matter how long ago they graduated. Once you become part of the BAMA family, we are always here to support you in any way we can.

Accreditation and Certifications

Why Accreditation Is Important

When you attend an accredited institution, you are attending a school that has undergone a rigorous process that evaluates educational quality. It’s not easy to become or remain an accredited institution. The rules and regulations are strict, precise and designed to protect students. Here are some of the benefits:

  • A reliable indicator of quality

  • Approved program of study

  • Qualified instructors

  • Recognition by employers nationwide

What our graduates say

I feel so fortunate to have received the funding for my education at Bay Area Medical Academy. It enabled me to be trained, certified, and back in the workforce in less than nine months. As a San Francisco resident, voter, and tax-payer, it is my wish that this program continue to help displaced workers receive training and education for healthcare jobs. As a former high tech professional, I can certainly speak to technology’s values, but I know that there is no program or software tool out there that can provide compassion, support, and comfort to those who are ill and in need.
